Quick H1 Above the Fold Question

I was wondering if the H1 for this page was alright even though it is below the fold: http://www.seniorplanning.org/assisted-living-phoenix-arizona/. Any suggestions/comments would be very helpful. Thank you!

I love these types of questions
It always gives me a chance to support one of my favorite tools, SEO-browser. This tool allows you to see what a search sees when they come to your site. What you see is not always accurate. Here is a quick crawl of your page in question:
You can see that your H1 shows up high in the content, and that the image slider is not pushing your site further down other than visually. I don't think that the "above the fold" is as important as other areas of the algo. I have seen hundreds of sites do amazingly well with very large or fullscreen image sliders, and H1's after the scroll. As long as you are covering your main keywords in your content, H tags, meta and page titles effectively, I think you will be fine.
If you are going to do some edits on your site, bookmark that tool. It helps to see when sidebar headers or template headers are rendering out as h1, h2, or h3's.

It might be a little too low IMO. We've heard there may be algorithmic impact by having the H1 too low, but I doubt that'd be much of a noticeable issue (never tested this ourselves though). I think more importantly you may run the risk of your users pogo-sticking from the search results, to the page, and back again because they don't see the words aligning with their search term fast enough. It looks like you could stand to reduce the size of the logo, the padding, and the main banner image without losing much visual appeal. That would help get the H1 text a little closer to the top.

H1 tag positioning impact
Hello, I am currently working with a dev team to develop a new site. We have designed the title tags to sit below a banner image on each page but the technical team are insisting the h1 title tags must come above the banner for maximum SEO impact. I am sceptical about this, can anybody please shed some light and/or share any up to date resource on this? Page Title versus H1 title
What's the difference between the Page Title and the H1 title? It seems like both summarize the page. Is it a wasted opportunity to make them the same? Should they be similar but slightly different?

Clickable Images Question
This may seem like a minor issue but it is something that has been bothering me. When I write a blog post and place images within the text, is it better to have the image linking to nothing or link to the image url. I am guessing that unless I wish the image to rank for a certain keyword then it is not worth it linking to the image url. But would just like clarification if there is a more deep seated reason. Keyword Stuffing Question
Say your on a e-commerce category page "Shirts" every lower level category has "shirts" in it such as: T-shirt, long sleeve shirt, sweat shirt, v-neck shirt, and so on. Is this page going to be penalized in google for the keyword "shirts" just because it is in the title and on the page a thousand times because i'm targetting words like "long sleeve shirt? and if it is, will the "long sleeve shirt" keyword be negatively affected as well? Are H1 tags important or influential?
We are in the process of correcting our site in hopes that Google will rank us higher in the SERP. We have many pages that have multiple H1 tags or no H1 tag at all. How important is the H1 tag? Will it help us increase our ranking on Google? Thanks

Same H1 tag in header across entire site
Should I have the same H1 tag in my header through out my entire site? Or is this considered to be self canalization for my main keywords. For example right now I have an H1 tag with my main targeted keywords on every page on my site, even if the pages content doesn't necessarily match the keywords in the H1 tag.

Sequence of heading tags (H1, H2, H3, etc) important?
Meaning heading tags (H1, H2, H3, etc) are a critical part of good on-page optimisation. Fair enough. It helps humans and bots make sense of a page's content. 3 questions regarding implementation of heading tags: Should heading tags appear in sequence in the HTML code. I.e. H1 first, then H2 lower down, etc.? Can the page contain more than one H1 tag? Can the page contain multiple H2, H3, H4 tags?

Quick and easy Joomla 1.5 Duplicate content fix?
www.massduitrialalwyers.com has a TON of duplicate content based on the way joomla 1.5 uses articles. Do you have a tried and true method to eliminate (automated would be preferred) the issues>? if not, might you suggest a plug in that takes care of the rel canonical?
