Quick H1 Above the Fold Question

I was wondering if the H1 for this page was alright even though it is below the fold: http://www.seniorplanning.org/assisted-living-phoenix-arizona/. Any suggestions/comments would be very helpful. Thank you!

I love these types of questions
It always gives me a chance to support one of my favorite tools, SEO-browser. This tool allows you to see what a search sees when they come to your site. What you see is not always accurate. Here is a quick crawl of your page in question:
You can see that your H1 shows up high in the content, and that the image slider is not pushing your site further down other than visually. I don't think that the "above the fold" is as important as other areas of the algo. I have seen hundreds of sites do amazingly well with very large or fullscreen image sliders, and H1's after the scroll. As long as you are covering your main keywords in your content, H tags, meta and page titles effectively, I think you will be fine.
If you are going to do some edits on your site, bookmark that tool. It helps to see when sidebar headers or template headers are rendering out as h1, h2, or h3's.

It might be a little too low IMO. We've heard there may be algorithmic impact by having the H1 too low, but I doubt that'd be much of a noticeable issue (never tested this ourselves though). I think more importantly you may run the risk of your users pogo-sticking from the search results, to the page, and back again because they don't see the words aligning with their search term fast enough. It looks like you could stand to reduce the size of the logo, the padding, and the main banner image without losing much visual appeal. That would help get the H1 text a little closer to the top.

Keyword Stuffing Question
Say your on a e-commerce category page "Shirts" every lower level category has "shirts" in it such as: T-shirt, long sleeve shirt, sweat shirt, v-neck shirt, and so on. Is this page going to be penalized in google for the keyword "shirts" just because it is in the title and on the page a thousand times because i'm targetting words like "long sleeve shirt? and if it is, will the "long sleeve shirt" keyword be negatively affected as well? Is it OK to include name of your town to the title tag or H1 tag on a blog to enhance local search results
I recently attended a webinar by ETNA Interactive on local search SEO. The presenter recommended including the name of your town in the title of the blog to increase local search SEO. Is this OK? Ive always been concerned that it is such an obvious attempt to rank locally that Google would consider it "spammy" ? black hat, "sketchy" or otherwise manipulative. Have the rules changed? Break in H1 tag - big, small or no problem?
Hi, I've just taken on a new ski client who offers ski instructor courses. The landing page for the keyword [ski instructor courses] was created by the web agency but with no heading tags... http://www.snowrehab.com/ski-instructor-courses Subsequently they've put them in but I've noticed the H1 tag has a break in it where 'ski' is on a separate line to 'instructor courses' Is this an issue that need to be addressed? Also I can't look up the page in the Moz on-page grader - any ideas why? Many thanks! Richard

Same H1 tag in header across entire site
Should I have the same H1 tag in my header through out my entire site? Or is this considered to be self canalization for my main keywords. For example right now I have an H1 tag with my main targeted keywords on every page on my site, even if the pages content doesn't necessarily match the keywords in the H1 tag.
